Building construction is said to be successful if its foundation is strong. Piling is an important part of construction that makes a strong foundation of a building. Piling is nothing but drilling foundations through the ground. It helps the building stand strong for a long time. There are different piling methods. Of which the CFA piling method is trending. Professional piling contractors say it is one of the safe methods in the construction sector. It not only strengthens the building but also increases its durability. CFA piles used in drilling foundations are compatible with all soil types. Therefore, it has become a trending concept.

What Is CFA Piling?

CFA (continuous flight augering is a concrete foundation piling method. In this method, the augering piles are drilled into the ground to create a strong foundation for a heavy building. We can also call it as auger cast piling method. The piling contractors use this building to provide us with quality assurance.

What Is The CFA Piling Process?

In CFA piling, the piling contractors drill the piles in the ground. After drilling, they inject the concrete through a hollow shaft. They inject the concrete under high pressure to get a deep and strong foundation. Then the hollow cages are removed from the stem and drilled. The hollow cage is a minimum 6-meter long.

What Are The Advantages Of CFA Piling?

The piling contractors use the CFA piling method because of its incredible advantages. One of the major advantages of CFA piling is it is one of the cost-efficient piling methods for the foundation. Another major advantage of CFA piling is that it provides a strong foundation in all soil conditions, like sand, clay, and so forth. Hence, you can use this piling method of stress about soil erosion.

The piling contractors can gain depths with piling up to 32 meters and width of 300mm to 1000+mm. With the CFA piling method, you can achieve the desired foundation quickly and strongly. Even if drilling is involved in the process, it does not make any noise or vibration that will disturb the environment or surroundings. It makes your construction eco-friendly.

This drilling method creates a safety wall of reinforced concrete. Hence, it does not harm any worker during the excavation. We can say that CFA piling is helpful for end consumers and benefits workers with safety during building construction. Because of these advantages, most piling contractors have used CFA piling for over three decades. Also, this method is easy and quick than bored piles.

Things To Remember

For a successful CFA piling, you should contact an experienced piling contractor that will look closely at the following factors of piling

  • Pile Depth
  • Penetration Rate
  • Concreting Pressure
  • Extraction Rate
  • Over Break

The contractor should ensure that the piling work takes place properly, as the stability of a building depends upon its foundation. The building may not take the load if the foundation is not proportionate. And as a result, the building may collapse due to its weak foundation.
